Fast-food giant McDonald's advertises its fries as being fresh from the ground. The potatoes start out great but get even better. The company's ads say only high quality potatoes are good enough to make its fries. And Portland, Ore., Cornell Pump says only high quality pumps are good enough for those soon-to-be fries. McDonald's uses Cornell pumps to pump its fries through hot oil.
