Contracts for a waste-heat boiler and a fired heater, both destined for Russia within the next 12 months, have been awarded to a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler AG, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland.

The waste-heat boiler, purchased by Lukoil Nizhegorodnefteorgsyntez Refinery in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region will be installed downstream of a fluid catalytic cracking unit, enabling the production of gasoline to meet European Union Euro-5 standards. Foster Wheeler supplied a similar unit to the refinery in 2010.

The fired heater, to be installed at the CJSC Antipinsky Refinery in Tyumen, Russia, includes an air preheating system. The heater will be part of a new crude-distillation unit being built as part of the modernization of the refinery.
