Duratherm, a manufacturer of heat transfer fluids and system cleaners, released a mobile app for Apple and Android devices, that makes it easy to research properties and perform calculations right on a mobile device.
"We've developed a lot of tools for use on our website but in keeping up with current technology we wanted to put these tools in the hands of engineers, wherever they may be," says Michael Bates, technical director of the Lewiston, N.Y.-based company.
The no-cost mobile app gives engineers another way to access many of the tools and resources that the company has developed in recent years, including a heat transfer coefficient calculator, an engineering comparison utility and a series of technical whitepapers.
