Thermal rollers have a double-shell design that allows hot fluids such as superheated oil or cold fluids such as chilled water to flow through chambers within the roller unit. The thermal rolls reach temperatures up to 350°F (177°C) and sustain the target temperature to within ± 1°F for an unlimited period of time. The roller unit is constructed so the smaller shell fits inside the larger outer shell, and the space between the two shells is usually 0.25 to 1".
