Local and regional political leaders joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Germanow-Simon Corp. to mark the growth of the 96-year old manufacturing company.

A $3.25 million upgrade to the Germanow-Simon Corp.’s facilities in Rochester, N.Y., renovated the manufacturing location for Tel-Tru Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of bimetal thermometers, pressure gauges and transmitters, and its sister company, G-S Plastic Optics.

Germanow-Simon Corp. implemented several improvements, including:

• Doubling the space for injection-molding and quality assurance operations.
• Improving the functionality and cleanliness for those spaces.
• Making the buildings more energy efficient.

Now completed, the renovated and expanded space will help the G-S Companies to serve customer’s needs for expanded production capacity.
