Leister Technologies AG has joined with its partner in India, Lipi Polymers, to start Leister Technologies India Pvt Ltd. The new company is headquartered in Chennai with branch offices in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. All former employees of Lipi Polymers have joined the new company, together with Lipi Polymers’ management team.

The new entity will be the center for growth of all Leister activities, including plastic welding, process heat equipment, laser systems and its Axetris product line, in the Indian market. It also is expected to facilitate Leister Technologies’ expansion into Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Arun Kumar, formerly the managing director of Lipi Polymers, will manage the new company, which is fully owned by Leister.
