Having won a $7.6 million order, Alfa Laval will supply compact heat exchangers to a liquefied natural gas plant in Australia. The heat exchangers will be used in a gas processing facility in Australia, where they will recover and reuse heat in the gas cleaning process prior to the liquefaction. By reusing heat, the exchangers will help reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Delivery is scheduled to take place in 2013 and 2014.

The company also received an order to supply its Packinox heat exchangers to one of the world’s largest petrochemical complexes in Saudi Arabia. The order value is approximately $18.3 million, and delivery is scheduled to start in 2013 and be finalized in 2014. The heat exchangers will be used in the catalytic processing sections of the production of mixed xylenes used for synthetic nylons and PET bottles, among other things.
