The Department of Energy (DOE) is considering developing test procedures, labels and energy conservation standards for industrial and commercial pumps. Pumps exist in numerous applications, including manufacturing, oil and gas production, water and wastewater, mining and commercial building systems. There are currently no federal standards or test procedures for industrial and commercial pumps DOE will hold a public meeting and webinar during the period to submit public comments. Stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to submit comment on the proposed standard before May 2, 2013.
The public meeting will be held on February 20, 2013, at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the U.S. Department of Energy, Forrestal Building, Room 8E-089, 1000 Independence Ave. SW., Washington, DC 20585.
