CEC's combustion safety workshop is intended to help attendees create a safer work environment and learn the latest codes, standards and principles for working with fuel-fired industrial heat processing equipment. CEC Combustion Safety will host the classroom-based course on March 13 at its Cleveland facility. It will be followed by a one-day optional session on March 14 focusing on demonstrations and laboratory time.
Topics covered during the March 13 classroom session include combustion basics, hazard awareness, fuel train basics, gas piping and crisis scenario drills. The live firing session the next day will include demonstrations of the control laboratory, burners, interlock testing, burner tuning and plug valve lubrication.
