The 2013 Automation Summit hosted by Siemens Industry Inc., Atlanta, will focus on automation technologies, from process and discrete to motion control and drives. Planned for June 24-27 in New Orleans, the summit also will play host to a manufacturing renaissance track session that includes IndustryWeek keynote speakers. A panel discussion will address trends in automation, technology, productivity and energy efficiency that are driving competitiveness and growth in the manufacturing sector.

Registration for the three-day event has opened and is discounted until April 15. Siemens also has issued a call for papers and will waive the registration fees for speakers.

Planned track sessions topics include:

  • Energy and asset management.
  • Productivity improvements through the application of automation technology, maintenance and operations.
  • Novel approaches to problem resolution .
  • Safety and industrial security.

Siemens will announce awards for its top end user, OEM and solution partner for the innovative application of Siemens products and solutions at the summit.
