Model IR400 responds within 3 sec to gas leaks even with a splash guard installed to protect it from environmental conditions. (Most industrial point infrared gas detection applications require a splash guard; this can delay response time.) The gas detector monitors hydrocarbon-based gases, including methane, propane, ethane, ethylene, butane, hexane, pentane and benzene. It has a self-diagnostic design to prevent false alarms and process shutdowns.
