A one-day pump systems optimization course, planned for May 16, is designed to help pump users learn how to identify and reduce hidden operating and energy costs in their pump systems. Hosted by Baldor Electric Co., a member of the ABB Group, in Greenville, S.C., the course will allow attendees to learn how to achieve energy savings as high as 20 to 40 percent.

When pump systems are not optimized for best efficiency, they drain profits with higher energy and maintenance costs, shorten mean time between repairs, and increase CO2 emissions. Optimized pump systems are more energy efficient and reliable overall.

The seminar will be presented with Pump Systems Matter, a non-profit educational organization established by the Hydraulic Institute and leading utilities and energy efficiency organizations, to educate the industry on the benefits to pump systems optimization and energy efficiency to improve bottom-line savings of end-user companies. All participants will earn seven professional development hour credits from the Hydraulic Institute, Parsippany, N.J.

An informational brochure for the upcoming course can be found here. Course registration is now available at www.pumpsystemsmatter.org.
