Vacuum dryer uses gravity to move material through vertically arranged stages of the drying process, with the discharge of material from one stage to the next controlled by slide-gate valves. The design eliminates most moving parts and the need for sealing gaskets, which can be worn and compromised by resin dust, and perforated screens, which require cleaning. Model VBD-1000 offers a throughput capability of up to 1,000 lb/hr (455 kg/hr).
