When specifying an oven, remember to tell your supplier about any process characteristics that could require additional consideration.

  • Your parts give off combustible, noxious or toxic fumes, or smoke.
  • Your parts must be heated in a clean atmosphere.
  • Your parts will be affected by the products of combustion from a direct-fired gas heating system. Remember that the products of combustion include carbon, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and water vapor. If your parts cannot withstand any of these components, you will be looking at either an electric or indirect-gas heating system.
