The Department of Energy's Advanced Manufacturing Office seeks information on research and development needs and market-and-supply-chain challenges impacting clean energy manufacturing.

The AMO provides cost-shared funding to pursue innovative technology research and development and increase energy efficiency across the manufacturing sector. Solicitations may involve collaborative partnerships among manufacturers, universities, suppliers and national laboratories, among others. Funding is awarded through a competitive process, and project selections are based on merit-based criteria that emphasize potential for energy, environmental and economic benefits.

The AMO broadly defines clean energy manufacturing as the making of products with the potential to significantly enhance energy efficiency, reduce lifecycle energy consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or reduce negative environmental impacts. Responses to the request for information must be filed by May 20.

Responses to the RFI will be treated as informational only and will not be viewed as a binding commitment for the respondent to develop or pursue the project or ideas discussed. Learn more at
