Natural-gas-heated indexing conveyor oven was designed to cure disc brake pads for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. The compact design of Model DTI-1175 includes a heated entrance vestibule, a curing chamber and a cooling chamber, all in a small footprint. Parts are conveyed through the oven in custom product baskets in a vertical orientation. Each basket includes dividers to maintain part segregation and allows for maximum air circulation during the curing cycle.
The curing chamber has a single full-modulating natural gas burner and has three index positions. Equipped with a modulating valve, the burner automatically adjusts using the minimal amount of natural gas required to maintain the desired temperature in the curing chamber. The cooling chamber is a single index position and utilizes ambient plant air that is impinged on the product in a top-down pattern.
