A 932°F (500°C) inert atmosphere oven, No. 1033 is used to heat polymer fibers at a customer’s facility. With 60 kW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, the oven’s workspace dimensions measure 54 x 36 x 84”. A 10,000-cfm, 7.5-hp recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload. Features include 8” thick insulated walls constructed with an aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior. Grieve_IN

The inert atmosphere construction comprises a gas pressure regulator, flowmeter, pressure gauge, internal high temperature gasket, all welded expansion connection in doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, 0.5” thick cellular silicone rubber atmosphere seal, blower shaft seal, pneumatic positive-latching door hardware, adjustable-offset door hinges, outlet with pressure relief, all welded gas-tight interior seams, and compression-fitting-equipped wall penetrations. A 0 to 1500 cfm blower pulls air through the air jacket on the inner oven for faster cooling.
