Lewco Inc. will supply NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center near Cape Canaveral, Fla., with a standard model batch oven that will be used to cure composite parts at various temperatures up to 500°F (260°F). Features include vacuum controls, ramp/soak programming and special part thermocouple monitoring and datalogging. Lewco was named the preferred vendor for this equipment due to its ability to meet strict government and aerospace performance requirements.

Says Lou Schaefer, a senior applications engineer at Lewco, “We haven’t gone to space, but as a supplier to some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry, it is safe to say we can handle even the most advanced process heating applications."
