Single-burner control system is designed for aggregate drying and utilizes fiber optic cable technology to reduce the dependence on heavy, multi-conductor copper control cable. Model BCS6500 fiber-optic panel is based on the company’s BCS-6000C control system and utilizes a fiber optic subsystem connection between control room and burner installation point. The two panel units are joined by 62.5/125 multimode fiber-optic cable utilizing ST connectors. This eliminates the copper multi-conductor control cable and reduces the potential theft of copper control wire. Optical fiber is immune to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI) is less susceptible to corrosion and environmental conditions.
