Tranter will initiate structural changes for its welded heat exchanger business in Europe. Tranter, a group of companies within the Alfa Laval Group, is undertaking the initiative as part of the savings program announced by its Lund, Sweden-based parent in October 2014.

Tranter will consolidate its European manufacturing footprint of welded heat exchangers to an existing manufacturing site in Schopfheim, Germany, and close the site in Artern, Germany, by July 31. The change will affect about 70 employees.
