A patented thermal insulation and protective coating is helping one OEM upgrade textile machinery.
Ornek Makine, Gaziantep, Turkey, shipped its first yarn heat-setting machine with a factory-applied coating of Industrial Nanotech’s high heat and EPX thermal insulation coatings to a customer in the southeastern United States. According to Industrial Nanotech, the developer of the thermal insulation, Nansulate coatings incorporate Hydro-NM-Oxide, a nanocomposite documented to have one of the lowest measured thermal conductivity values. When fully cured, Nansulate contains approximately 70 percent Hydro-NM-Oxide and 30 acrylic resin and performance additive.
This represents the second major OEM application with these patented nanotechnology-based coatings.
According to Francesca Crolley, vice president of business development for Naples, Fla.-based company, Industrial Nanotech’s insulation of textile manufacturing equipment can offer energy savings of 10 to 25 percent.
