Spirax Sarco’s Longmont, Colo.-based facility will be refocused on expanding the company's application engineering and solution support for energy monitoring and management for the United States.

As a part of this change, Spirax Sarco has ceased manufacturing metering products at this location. The Blythewood, S.C.-based steam tracing systems maker will continue to market its full line of metering products, which will be manufactured elsewhere.

“With the growing demand for metering, these changes will allow us to service our customers’ needs better through energy monitoring and management solutions,” says Lorraine Wiseman, president and general manager of Spirax Sarco. The company expects to first expand application engineering support within the Longmont facility. The company has not ruled out a move to a location better equipped for application engineering, but it hopes to remain in the Longmont area.
