The custom-designed tool works with the company’s IRt/c infrared sensors to provide accurate surface temperature readings. The reflective cone is suited for semiconductor, printing, plastics and other production processes in which high ambient radiation and reflection can prevent accurate surface-temperature measurement. It reduces temperature-measurement errors by about a factor of 10, according to the company, by decreasing ambient reflections and emissivity variations.
