A fourth constant-temperature storage cabinet is on its way to a multinational beverage manufacturer from Lewco Inc., Sandusky, Ohio.
Many beverage manufacturers add Velcorin as a microbial control agent during the canning processes to provide cold sterilization of the beverages. Velcorin must be stored in a constant temperature range of 70 to 90°F (21 to 32°C), so the storage cabinet must have the ability to heat and cool automatically to stay within this range.
Lewco engineers modified a standard drum multilevel heating cabinet for this particular application. The cabinet includes a control system that switches between heating and cooling to maintain the needed temperature range as well as a digital readout thermostat.
