A gas-fired cold-car industrial batch oven — designed and manufactured by Wisconsin Oven — will be used for stress relieving steel assemblies for a custom metal solutions company. The assemblies weigh up to 20,000 lb and are heated to temperatures up to 1250°F (677°C).

According to the oven maker, the design eases loading and unloading larger loads while providing energy-efficient operation. The oven, which has work-chamber dimensions of 10' wide by 15' long by 10' high, utilizes Wisconsin Oven’s patented Expandable Surface design. Limit switches were provided to limit the car travel in both directions, and the temperature is controlled and recorded by a Eurotherm Nanodac programmable recorder/controller.
