Companies Combine to Form Large Power Plant Supplier
GE completed the acquisition of Alstom’s power and grid businesses. GE Power & Water and Alstom Power have combined to form GE Power, which will supply total power plant and lifecycle solutions that can support equipment from multiple suppliers. Its list of technologies includes full power plant components, boilers, steam turbines and reciprocating engines.
GE Power will consist of six business units: Water & Process Technologies, Steam Power Systems, Power Services, Gas Power Systems, Distributed Power and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy.
