Jürgen Brandes was appointed CEO of Siemens’ Process Industries and Drives Division. He succeeds Peter Herweck, who is leaving the company at the end of the fiscal year. Brandes has been at Siemens for 25 years, working in a variety of positions in Siemens’ automation and drives technology business. He recently served as CEO of the company’s Mobility Management Business Unit.

Vulcan Systems, a division of Worldwide Recycling Equipment Sales LLC, Moberley, Mo., hired Preston Whitney as vice president of business development. Vulcan Systems manufactures drying, calcining and thermal desorption equipment. Whitney will focus on accelerating growth and identifying, developing and driving expansion into new markets.
