Fives will supply Total with a Pillard LowCaloryFlam burner and a combustion chamber as part of the Total Bio TFuel project on Mardyck site, in Dunkerque, France.

This project consists of Total producing biofuel in a pilot plant in order to study the cost efficiency of industrial production of biodiesel and biokerosene. Fives will offer its expertise by destroying the flue gas generated by the process and valorizing the heat to produce steam reused in the reactors.

Key points of the solution include the reduction of NO_X emission by approximately 75 percent in order to comply with local requirements.

In other company news, Fives was awarded a contract by Nooter Eriksen to supply six high capacity Pillard InductFlam gas burners for Umm Al Houl Power IWPP plant in Qatar. As part of the contract, Fives will also supply a Pillard fuel system for the combustion system at the high capacity cogeneration and combined-cycle power plant.
