Equipment for documenting the performance of fluid bed dryers, mixers/blenders and vibratory screeners, is part of an expanded test laboratory at Kason Corp., Millburn, N.J.

The facility includes the company’s Compact Vibro-Bed circular fluid bed systems, a system with a fluid-bed processor, heater/cooler/moisturizer, blower and dust collector on a self-contained mobile frame. The laboratory offers testing flexibility not practical with larger, heavier, rectangular units of equivalent capacity.

The laboratory also includes centrifugal sifters, vertical sifters, cone mills, horizontal mixers, hoppers, mechanical conveyors and flow-promotion devices that allow technicians to replicate most process layouts and production scenarios. The laboratory provides free testing services for customers and measures performance characteristics of new equipment designs.
