A manufacturer of industrial boilers has teamed up with a manufacturer of organic rankine cycle (ORC) turbogenerators to produce a steam and power ORC system. According to the developers, the system allows for the production of electricity and a high temperature heat carrier such as steam for manufacturing processes.
The system, launched by Turboden and Bono Sistemi, can be used in process industries applications that require thermal energy in the form of steam. The temperature level of the cycle allows the cogeneration of electricity and medium pressure steam with high overall energy efficiency.
Turboden and Bono Sistemi introduced the equipment at Power Gen Europe this week.
