A volumetric dosing algorithm for EasyMax and OptiMax synthesis workstations allows unattended dosing combined with safe reaction temperature control. The firmware update for the synthesis workstation touchscreen allows the user to enter the maximum reaction temperature for a dosing operation, including exothermic reactions. If the reaction exceeds the preprogrammed maximum temperature, dosing will pause and resume only after the reaction temperature cools down to below the maximum. Dosing can be started manually or pre-programmed as part of a task sequence. Dosing a specified amount of liquid can be controlled by dosing time or rate.
