A custom tote oven will be used to heat glucose by a manufacturer in the candy industry.

As part of the candy manufacturing process, glucose, which is stored in totes, must be heated for melting prior to being mixed with other ingredients. The oven designed by Lewco Inc., Sandusky, Ohio, can accommodate up to eight totes at once with a maximum operating temperature of 300°F (149°C).

Engineers designed a rear-mounted heater box due to ceiling space limitations at the customer’s facility. Because of this design, Lewco had to split the oven into multiple sections for shipping.
