Evoqua Water Technologies was awarded a five-year contract to provide mobile equipment to produce deionized boiler feedwater for ships docking at Norfolk Naval Station in Norfolk, Va.

The deal includes six custom-designed mobile deionization (DI) units, systems management, transportation services, performance reporting via Evoqua's Link2Site remote information systems and off-site resin regeneration services.

The six units are designed and built to the Navy's specifications, including 150,000-gal capacity on a compact footprint for maneuverability in the shipyard.
