A walk-in oven will be used for holding weldments at temperature before welding. The industrial heating system, designed by Grieve Corp., Round Lake, Ill., has a maximum temperature of 900°F (482° C).

Process heating is provided by 300 kW installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. Controls on the unit include a digital programming temperature controller and a manual-reset excess-temperature controller with separate contactors.

The oven has a 4" insulated floor with hard points to support the load. A 30 hp recirculating blower provides front-to-rear airflow to the workload.
