Superior Holding Inc., Hutchinson, Kan., acquired the business assets of Richmond, Va.-based English Boiler & Tube.

English Boiler designs and fabricates packaged watertube boiler systems for large industrial applications. Superior Holding is the parent company to Superior Boiler Technologies and Superior Boiler Works, a manufacturer of Scotch Marine and vertical firetube boilers and boiler equipment.

Superior will continue to manufacture and sell English Boiler & Tube products under the new company name, English Boiler LLC. CEO John English and Rick English, president and general manager, will retain their positions as will all current English Boiler employees.

Superior, which will maintain English Boiler’s facility in Richmond and use it for future growth opportunities, anticipates the companies’ joint marketing and sales strategies will create additional jobs.
