Praxair Inc. acquired and will operate a 300-ton-per-day carbon dioxide (CO₂) purification and liquefaction plant from PureCO₂ LP.

Located in Price, Utah, the facility will serve Praxair customers in the West in all end-markets, including food and beverage, metal fabrication and water treatment. According to Praxair, the CO₂ plant will allow it to serve a growing customer base within the greater Salt Lake region, particularly in the food and beverage industry.

The facility also expands Praxair’s supply network west of the Rocky Mountains.
