Three electrically heated walk-in ovens will be used for composite curing. The ovens, built by Wisconsin Oven, East Troy, Wis., recently were shipped to the customer.

The maximum temperature rating for each of the composite curing ovens is 500°F (260°C). Temperature uniformity of ±5°F at 150, 250 and 350°F was verified through a 15-point profile test conducted in an empty chamber under static operating conditions. Combination airflow maximizes heating rates.

The oven bodies are constructed out of tongue-and-groove panels with high efficiency seams. According to the manufacturer, the panels provide better efficiency than standard panels. Each unit also includes a digital programmable temperature controller with Ethernet communications and a paperless chart recorder with four inputs.
