Technica opened its second fiber Bragg grating (FBG) manufacturing facility to manage company growth. The operation, Technicasa Singapore Pvt. Ltd., is also home to Technica's FBG Advanced Technologies Center.
Equipped with state-of-the-art femtosecond specialty laser stations, nano-scale positioning and machining equipment and advanced proprietary fiber processing technologies, Technica's engineering and manufacturing team in Singapore will focus on global customers that have special and unique FBG sensors’ specification requirements.
According to Technica, demand for specialty FBG sensors is growing as optical sensing applications continue their proliferation in industrial, energy, security, transportation, civil engineering and medical fields. The company’s FBG sensors, FBG arrays and FBG cables can monitor and control industrial and commercial processes, equipment and infrastructure.
