ElectraTherm completed its 50,000 ft2 manufacturing plant and research and development test center in Flowery Branch, Ga.

The building has equipment in place, established flow lines and a commissioned test cell. It will produce the company’s Power+ Generators, which use organic rankine cycle (ORC) technology to capture waste heat and convert it to clean electricity.

ElectraTherm was acquired in 2016 by Bitzer, an independent manufacturer of refrigeration compressors. To expedite the integration of ElectraTherm into the Bitzer US campus and move its production facility from Reno, Nev., ElectraTherm transitioned engineering and production support to Georgia following the acquisition. With the completion of the new facility, ElectraTherm has production and testing capability in place.

The research and development center will provide the engineering team with advanced testing and optimization equipment as the company continues to create markets within the waste heat to power segment.
