Nationwide Boiler Acquires Pacific Combustion Engineering
Nationwide Boiler Inc., Fremont, Calif., acquired Pacific Combustion Engineering/Ponder Burner Co., a manufacturer of burner management and combustion control systems as well as custom control panels. Based in Washougal, Wash., PCE/PBE will be led by Jack Valentine and will continue to operate under its current name as a division of Nationwide Boiler Inc.
This is the first acquisition in the 50-year history of Nationwide Boiler, a supplier of temporary and permanent boiler systems and boiler support equipment. The company expects the acquisition to increase its share in the industrial equipment market and expand its coverage in the Pacific Northwest for rentals, sales and service. The deal also enhances the Nationwide Boiler’s product offerings.
PCE/PBE’s UL508A and 698A control panel shop manufactures panels to current safety standards, including SIL I-IV, Class I Div 2, NFPA-85/86, IRI, FM and UL. The panel fabrication shop also has the ability to perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
PCE/PBE also serves as a manufacturer’s representative of industrial heat processing equipment serving Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
