To demonstrate how the Internet of Things (IoT) can ensure continuous inactivation during dry roasting, Bühler Group will host a live tweet event on December 5 at 4 p.m. ET. The 48-hour event will coincide with the 2017 Almond Conference in Sacramento, and it will consist of 48 hours of live tweeting from Bühler’s IoT edge gateway installed on an in-process Aeroglide dryer.
According to the company, the tweets will showcase its AeroPro moisture control and process monitoring IoT products, with a focus on dependable inactivation of pathogens.
The @buhlerIoT handle will tweet diagnostics every 10 minutes. The same Twitter handle will answer questions and interact with users at the conference and abroad. Bühler invites user questions.
In addition, Doug Beloskur, product manager of automation and IoT for Bühler Aeroglide, Cary, N.C., will present a paper about processing technology considerations for almond roasting during the Almond Conference.
