No. 895 has 8" thick insulated walls composed of 2" of 1900°F (1038°C) block and 6" of 10 lb/ft3 density rockwool. The 1000°F (538°C) top-loading oven is used by one company to cure composite materials in molds. A 12,500-cfm, 10-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow, and 120 KW are installed in lncoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. Other features include aluminized steel exterior; Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior and reinforced 0.25" steel plate top.
