Spherical dryer is designed for isolating and drying active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) after wet chemical processes. Rosenmund design offers features such as fast drying, mixing and granulation; ease of cleaning (WIP/CIP); total product discharge; a short drying time due to a high heat transfer design; and explosion pressure shock-resistant construction. The lower half of the sphere is removable either by pivoting or dropping. This allows full visual and manual access to the process area. The dryer can be manufactured either in stainless steel or, for high corrosive applications, in nickel alloys with high resistance to acids. Particle fines that can be fluidized during drying are withheld by a dust filter with cartridges.
