A tool and equipment manufacturer will use an electrically heated standard two-zone conveyor oven to temper steel parts. The oven, designed and built by Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, Wis., has the capability to heat 1,800 lb of steel from 70 to 425°F (21 to 218°C) within one hour.

Guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±10°F at 425°F was documented to meet AMS 2750E, Class 2 furnaces and Instrumentation Type C requirements. The oven includes one profile opening for each end, one access door in each zone (two total), and a programmable temperature controller with autotune and overtemperature protection.
