In a planned succession, Bob Andress, who for the last five years has been a senior executive at ACS Group, New Berlin, Wis., was appointed president. Andress succeeds Jim Holbrook, who is retiring. Andress has been vice president of operations for ACS since January 2014. ACS Group offers auxiliary equipment for the plastics processing industry marketed under the AEC, Cumberland and Sterling brands.
A manufacturer of blended solid-concentrate water-treatment products and equipment, APTech Group Inc. broke ground at the site of its new manufacturing and corporate headquarters located in West Chester, Ohio. The expanded facility, which is set on seven acres of property, will allow for corporate and production to be housed in the same complex. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of the year.

English Boiler LLC, Richmond, Va., a manufacturer of packaged watertube boiler systems for large, industrial applications, named Nick LeJeune as the company’s new president and general manager. He succeeds Rick English, who is retiring. LeJeune will oversee all English Boiler operations, including business development, project management, finance and management oversight.

Tube Tech International secured substantial EU Horizon 2020 funding to develop Shell Side Jet, a robotic technology that promises to remove all external shell-side fouling from shell-and-tube heat exchangers. In other company news, Derek Sumsion has rejoined Tube Tech as research and development manager.

SPX Flow Inc. Industrial and Energy (I&E) division and the Tapflo Group for Central and Eastern Europe, including Austria and South Africa, inked a distribution agreement. The agreement includes the Johnson Pump, Bran+Luebbe, Plenty, Lightnin, Airpel and GD Engineering brands. Upon signing at the ACHEMA, the process industry show in Frankfurt, Tapflo placed an initial stock order for 200 Johnson pumps.
The thermocouple calibration laboratory of Vulcan Electric, Porter, Maine, achieved ISO 17025 accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). ISO 17025 is the highest recognized quality standard in the world for calibration and testing laboratories.
