An electrically heated walk-in oven will be used for composite curing small parts. It has the capability to heat 16,000 lb of a composite material from 70 to 350°F (21 to 177°C) within six to seven hours. The unit was shipped to a company in the technology industry.
Designed and built by Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, Wis., the batch oven has a maximum operating temperature of 500°F (260°C). A guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±5°F (±2.8°C) at setpoints of 95 and 425°F (35 and 218°C) was documented to ensure the oven meets AMS 2750E, Class 1 furnaces and Instrumentation Type D requirements.
