BriskHeat, a provider of flexible heating, insulating and temperature control solutions, tapped AeroNed B.V. as its authorized location for BriskHeat’s hot bonder calibrations and repair in Europe. Located in the Netherlands, AeroNed B.V. will perform these services for BriskHeat’s ACR 3 and ACR MiniPro hot bonders. The devices control heat and vacuum for composite and metal bond repairs/cures.
Austrian sensor manufacturer E+E Elektronik completed certification to IATF 16949:2016. The credential confirms that the company’s quality assurance system complies with the requirements of the automotive industry. The new standard follows the previous ISO/TS 16949. E+E Elektronik develops and produces sensors and transmitters for humidity, temperature, CO2, air velocity, dewpoint, moisture in oil, mass flow and pressure.
Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc. has inked a 15-year lease agreement in a renovated East End development in Akron, Ohio. The company’s Barberton and Copley operations will relocate to the new space in 2019. Additionally, B&W is relocating its corporate headquarters to Ohio from Charlotte, N.C., with the relocation of its corporate headquarters to Barberton effective immediately.
Thermoplastic valve and pipe manufacturer Asahi/America Inc., Lawrence, Mass., acquired Gramercy, La.-based fabrication shop Performance Plastics Inc. The purchase will aid Asahi/America in expanding its existing fabrication capabilities and capacity as well as broaden its engineered plastic products and services offering. The Louisiana facility will operate as Asahi/America Inc., PPI Division.
Vahid Ebadat founded Stonehouse Process Safety to provide expert process safety consulting, testing, training and litigation support services in the specialist areas of dust flash fires and explosions, NFPA 652, gas and vapor flammability, electrostatic hazards and thermal decomposition. Based in Princeton, N.J., Stonehouse will be servicing clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, legal/insurance, metals, plastics, rubber and other process manufacturing industries.
To strengthen its service capabilities close to customers in North America, Valmet has expanded the operations of its service center in Neenah, Wis., to include spreader roll services for the pulp, paper, board and tissue industries. The roll service center provides maintenance, reconditioning and upgrade services for all type of rolls.

Edgetech Instruments Inc., Hudson, Mass., inked manufacturers’ representative agreements with JMI Instrument Co. and Statesville Process Instruments. JMI will represent Edgetech’s dewpoint, frostpoint, humidity and oxygen analyzers in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa while Statesville Process Instruments will cover North Carolina and South Carolina.
According to B&W, its employees will move into the new space when renovations are complete in the third quarter of 2019. The company also intends to continue operating a parts warehouse at its Copley facility. At the same time, the company will have a continued presence in Charlotte, and employees there will continue to serve in various sales, service and corporate administrative functions.
