Grant Instruments needed to monitor its thermal curing production line ordered a portable oven temperature datalogger. Large batches of metal alloys were cured for hours in three continuously running ovens. The datalogger, which was supplied by CAS Dataloggers, needed to connect to Type K thermocouples and had to have a resilient thermal barrier.

Configuration enabled the datalogger to automatically start and stop recording at specific times and temperature levels to give users the most accurate process overview. Each reading reported the time and date, while the unit’s non-volatile memory provided up to 260,000 readings of secure data.

The datalogger had an enhanced thermal barrier with internal heat sink and included advanced phase change technology for maximum protection and heat absorption. It also supported fast sample rates to enable process times up to eight samples per second.
