The technologies of Outotec and Metso Minerals (excluding Metso Flow Control) will be combined to create a single company focused on process technology, equipment and services for the minerals, metals and aggregates industries. The combined company will operate as Metso Outotec.
Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, Metso Outotec will take advantage of the strengths of both companies, including technology, research and development, and a global footprint. The combined company will own technologies in comminution, beneficiation and metals refining. It will offer integrated customer solutions and supply larger process solutions to existing and new customers.
The merger is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
Metso Flow Control will become a separately listed, independent flow control equipment and services company named Neles.
