An aerospace company will use an electrically heated batch oven to cure epoxy resins and varnishes on assorted parts. Manufactured and shipped by Wisconsin Oven Corp., the heavy-duty unit has a maximum operating temperature of 500°F (260°C).
The design capacity of the Ferris wheel oven, when the configuration of the workload is such that it is capable of absorbing the heat, can heat 200 lb of product to the specified temperature range within two hours. The body of the oven is constructed with Wisconsin Oven’s high efficiency panel seams, which includes a 20 gauge carbon steel exterior and a 20 gauge aluminized steel interior.
The Ferris wheel inside the oven chamber will run continuously to process the product load. It is 34” in diameter and contains 20 rotating spindles for part rotation.
